What Can The Average Stoke-On-Trent House Price Get You In Other Areas Of The UK?

Choosing a location to live can be tough. There are so many things to consider, quality of house, neighbourhood, access to transport and school. It’s a bit of a nightmare. Then you have to factor in the price and if you’re getting your money’s worth.

Lucky for you, we’ve taken the average house price in Stoke-on-Trent and outlined what it can get you in some of the other places across the country.

Using information found on Rightmove.co.uk, we’ve compared prices from locations all over the UK.

Stoke-on-Trent

So to start off, let’s choose a high budget home in Stoke-on-Trent. For £495,000, you can get a lovely 4-bedroom detached house, with one of the bedrooms being a home office. This also includes en-suite and family bathroom, a large extensive garden and even has easy access to local schools and transport.

This is what £495,000 can get you in Stoke-on-Trent, but what can it get you in other locations?

London

London is a place known for it’s high budget accommodations, being the most expensive place to live in the UK. So you can imagine that £495,000 isn’t going to quite get you as much as it would in Stoke-on-Trent. But let’s take a look anyway.

You can get a lovely 2-bedroom apartment by The Royal Docks in London for that price. It includes 2 bathrooms, an open plan kitchen, reception room and a balcony.

While this is a very nice property, it does not give you as much room as the family home in Stoke-on-Trent. It is also quite a large budget for just an apartment.

York

If you decided to go for a property in York, you’d definitely be getting more for your money than you would in the likes of London.

This detached property is located in Copmanthorpe, York and has 4 bedrooms. It has 3 reception rooms, a large open plan kitchen and a luxury bathroom/shower room. You also get a workshop garage and a large garden for that price, not too bad at all.

A budget of around £495,000 will tend to get you a nice 3 to 4-bedroom house or a nice apartment closer to the City Centre.

Altrincham

Now Altrincham is a bit pricier, with the average house price being almost £200,000 more than York, and over £300,000 more than in Stoke-on-Trent.

With the budget of £495,000, this could get you a 3-bedroom apartment with a beautiful roof garden. The property is located in Hale, which is near to Altrincham and has good local transport access. It has transformed into a sleek, stylish penthouse, suitable for anyone with a luxury lifestyle.

Not exactly a family home though, if that is what you are after.

Surrey

This property is a 3-bedroom detached house located in Guildford, Surrey. It features 3 double bedrooms, an en-suite shower room, 2 reception rooms and a garage and space up for to 4 vehicles. This property is priced at only £485,000, being under budget by £10,000.

The location gives it easy access to the local train stations and it’s close to the A331, A3 and M3. Another benefit to this property is that it is situated opposite a primary school, making it ideal for families.

This kind of home is relatively cheap for Surrey though, and hard to find.
